Dr Shaza Obaid

Dr Obaid is a long-established NHS consultant Rheumatologist. Having received training in London and Leicester. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College Of Physicians.

Since, she has obtained an MSc in Rheumatology from Harris Manchester College, Oxford University in 2009. Her passion for the field sees her regularly teach Nottingham medical students and actively partake in the training of junior doctors.

She is involved in the specialist registrar training and she is the clinical and educational supervisor for the specialist registrar in rheumatology.

She has been the audit lead for Rheumatology in United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.

Dr Obaid has extensive experience in treating inflammatory arthropathies such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis Gout and ankylosing spondylitis as well as, connective tissue diseases such as lupus, Sjogren's, and myositis. In addition, she treats Fibromyalgia ,Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis. She regularly performs joint injections and she has trained to provide ultrasound examination of the joints streamlining the diagnostic process and aiding early detection of inflammatory arthritis.

She holds regular clinics in Lincoln County Hospital, Grantham District Hospital and at The BMI Lincoln.

Dr Obaid had been nominated for doctor of the year award and has won clinical excellence awards.

She is married and has three sons and in her spare time she enjoys reading and cooking British and International cuisine.

Dr obaid is trained to provide musculoskeletal ultrasound .
