Mr Rupert Eckersley

Mr Rupert Eckersley is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. He is based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and he is a founder of the London Hand & Wrist Unit at the Wellington Hospital. Mr Eckersley has a special interest in both trauma and elective surgery of the hand and wrist and for the treatment of Dupuytren's contracture.

Mr Eckersley was elected President of the British Society for Hand Surgery in 2006.  He actively involved in medical education and he is chairman of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and University of Manchester Hand Diploma Examination Board. 

Mr Eckersley's clinical interests include all areas of wrist and hand surgery both traumatic and elective and treatment of Dupuytren's contracture. He has extensive experience in treating elite sportspeople, musicians and complex secondary referrals.
