Qualifications

I am a Consultant Physician specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology. I have been a consultant at the Leicester Royal Infirmary NHS Trust since 1994 and I qualified from Nottingham Medical School in 1983. I was awarded my MD from the University of Leicester in 1991. I have published widely in the area of Diabetes and have contributed to numerous book Chapters and co-authored two books on Diabetes. I was Chair of the Diabetes UK Annual Professional Conference in 2013. I was also Clinical Lead for Medicine 2009 to 2013, University Hospitals of Leicester and previously Head of Service for Medical Emergencies 2000 to 2009.
