Dr Mike Batley

Dr Mike Batley is a Senior Rheumatology Consultant at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. He trained in rheumatology at Guy's, St Thomas' and Kings College Hospitals and obtained his Master's degree in Rheumatology. Mr Batley is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and he runs the NHSE complex rheumatology service and early rheumatoid arthritis service for West Kent.

Dr Batley sees patients with a range of rheumatic diseases. He has extensive experience in the treatment of osteoporosis, back pain, inflammatory joint diseases (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis), auto-immune diseases, soft-tissue rheumatism.

Dr Batley is has been the Clinical Governance Lead for Medicine at Maidstone, Clinical Director, Rheumatology Clinical Lead for MTW trust and the Chair of the Local Negotiating committee. He has also been the Royal College Tutor for Medicine.

Dr Batley runs a large research unit at Maidstone Hospital and regularly presents his research nationally and internationally. He has Lupus Clinics, Early Synovitis Clinics and Biologic Cohort Clinics.
