Dr Matthew Wood

Having qualified in 1984 from University of Manchester Medical School, Dr Matthew Wood completed his speciality training in Anaesthetics in London. In 1994, he became a Consultant Anaesthetist in Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust and has also been in private practice at the Nuffield Hospital in Chichester since that year.

Matthew has been working closely for over 20 years with Mr Moss, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nuffield, Spire Portsmouth and Goring Hall Hospitals, since 1994. His clinical interests include pre-operative assessment, regional anaesthesia, anaesthesia for children and allergy to anaesthetic drugs. He is able to provide the best anaesthetic options for any surgical treatment and is regularly updating his anaesthetic techniques.
