Dr Lewis Vickers

I am married, in my early fifties and live and work in Lanarkshire. I qualified from Glasgow University in 1990 and trained in Cardiology and General Medicine in the West of Scotland completing my specialist training in 2003.

I am a dog lover who enjoys dining out, travelling, running and am a football fan.

Diseases, Medical Tests and Treatments

I have great experience of performing echocardiography (including transoessophogeal), stress testing and ambulatory monitoring.

My interests include investigation of chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, altered consciousness and cardiovascular risk including hypertension and dyslipidaemia (I have a special interest in this area). I have considerable experience in the management of coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension and dyslipidaemia as well as rarer cardiovasacular conditions.
