About Professor Kiran Patel

Professor Kiran Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist who qualified in 1993 from Cambridge University. He trained in Cambridge, Bristol and Birmingham.

Professor Patel's main interests are heart failure and pacing. He has a special interest in the athletic heart and sports cardiology as well as ethnicity and cardiovascular risk too. Kiran Patel has performed over 1250 pacemaker implants. He is widely published and also lectures widely, and has written papers, book chapters and books on cardiovascular disease.
