Dr Joyce Wong

Biography

Dr Joyce Wong is a consultant cardiologist and the lead clinician in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging at Harefield Hospital.

Dr Wong graduated from the University of London. She completed her specialist training in cardiology and general internal medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London Chest Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital.

She completed her PhD at St Bartholomew's and The London Medical School (now part of Queen Mary, University of London) in the field of inflammatory modulation of atherosclerosis.

Clinical expertise

Dr Joyce Wong specialises in the CMR imaging of common and unusual forms of heart failure and other cardiac diseases.

She chairs the multidisciplinary conference panel for cardiac bypass surgery. In addition, she works closely with multidisciplinary conference panels to review cases. These cases generally refer to angioplasty, cardiac transplantation and valvular heart surgery.
