Cataract Surgery

I attended as a private patient, as I  needed a different lens offered by the NHS. Overall the practice was immaculate, receptionist amazing. Just felt a little let down, as waited for ages, when I eventually got attended to, it felt rushed and I was very scared. The procedure went without fault, 
however, I would have felt more reassured and calmed if I had more attention and reassurance from the surrounding staff. 
During the procedure my eye was irrigated on numerous occasions  & the back of my hair got soaking wet. When the procedure had  finished I was in Shock, I felt I was made to stand up too quickly and ushered back into the waiting room. I was freezing cold and shivering. At no point was a cup  of tea offered or a hair dryer dry my hair. 
After speaking to my aunt who had undergone the same procedure at another practice, felt quite cheated as she had the full VIP service, wearing a shower cap during the procedure, offered a hair dryer and having tea & biscuits, before she left.( that was all on the NHs) 
I had paid to go private & did not felt like I got the attention I deserved.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Outpatients visit with Dr Robinson was a great experience. He ran a little late but acknowledged this with an apology which immediately put me at ease. He listened to my problem and gave me expert advice, he’s clearly very knowledgeable on the subject. We discussed treatment options and he answered my questions about it. All in all a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend him to anyone e with a digestive issue.

Hiatus Hernia

Heartburn (Acid Reflux)

The consultant listened very carefully to my symptoms, asked questions and explained what he initially thought might be the problem. He gave me some material to take home to read on the condition and was very clear on the next steps. In fact he arranged the next consultation in our meeting so there was no delay or lack of clarity on what was going to happen next.

Gastroscopy

made the experience less scary than it was, told me about all the possibilities that it could be due to my symptoms. clear instructions on next steps and overall very speedy experience

Colonoscopy

Very friendly, went through the paper work making sure i was at ease.
