Dr. Florian Ruths

Dr Florian Ruths is Consultant Psychiatrist based at the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. He is a specialist in mindfulness, cognitive behaviour therapy and schema therapy.

He graduated in medicine from Heidelberg University in 1992, before completing his training in Psychiatry at the Royal Free Hospital. In 2000 he moved to the Maudsley Hospital as a specialist registrar, training in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry. He became a full-time consultant at the hospital in 2005 and established the mindfulness-based cognitive therapy program.

Dr Ruths has an active interest in clinical research, particularly in mindfulness and cognitive behaviour therapy.
