RTN Mental Health - Private

I felt quite anxious before the assessment started, but the assessor quickly helped me feel more relaxed and everything was explained clearly. At times I felt there was more I could have said, but the questions moved quite quickly and I sometimes struggled to process my thoughts fast enough to answer fully. I understand that a lot of information had already been provided through the forms and background paperwork. The time went very quickly, and by the end I felt much more at ease. After the assessment I found myself replaying parts of it, feeling a little stressed and needing a lot of recovery time but i guess that is part of the process. Overall, I feel the assessment went as well as it could have, and the assessor was very kind and professional.

I was very happy with the lady that did my assessment today. She explained everything well and broke things down for me if I didn't understand.

My child was angry and refusing to even acknowledge the lady in the room but she was so patient and gentle with him that within 10 minutes he was walking around an chatting

Ellis was patient, understanding, friendly and professional. Her approach to the questions was well handled and she was empathetic towards my answers. This isn't an easy or comfortable process and Ellis's natural ability to guide someone through this was apparent.

My son has gone through the ADOS assessment with Libby she was amazing she made him feel at ease and explained everything to him really well he actually really enjoyed his time with her and said that it went quicker than he thought. Thank you Libby for making his experience enjoyable.

The most stressful and frustrating part of using RTN services is the lack of communication and poor response times. I have used RTN both via the right to choose path and for a private assessment. You would expect the private service to be quicker and have better communication but this has not been my experience. It is impossible to get hold of anybody. I have sent multiple emails and left voicemail but there is no sense of urgency in responding and waiting times are long. You don't even receive an acknowledgement or holding email to manage expectations. Some very basic and easy changes could be made to make the customer experience so much better.
