Dr Avinash Sharma

Dr Avinash Sharma is a Consultant Physician specialising in geriatric medicine. He is based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and works at a number of private practices in London. He has a clinical interest in movement and disorders, Parkinson's disease and frailty.

After graduating from NSCB Medical College in India in 1994, he worked in New Delhi for a number of years before moving to the UK. In 2003 he attained his membership with the Royal College of Surgeons and completed his specialist training in General and Geriatric Medicine in NW Thames (London Deanery). He consulted at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital before being appointed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Dr Sharma has a keen interest in the training of medical students and junior doctors, and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. He has co-authored various books to aid with MRCP exam preparation and was a RCP college tutor for a number of years.
