Dr Ash Husain is an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine for last 25 years, and work for Royal Free London NHS Trust.

His specialist interest is in managing chronic cough, breathing disorders and all aspects of respiratory medicine, which include conditions like asthma, lung infections, COPD, interstitial lung diseases (lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis), lung cancer, pulmonary embolism.

He also offers procedures to help making diagnoses such as spirometry, six-minute walk test, oxygen assessment and fibreoptic bronchoscopies.

Dr Husain emphasises a holistic, patient-centered approach to respiratory care. When evaluating patients with respiratory symptoms, he consider full clinical picture, including comorbidities, environmental and occupational factors, lifestyle habits, and psychosocial influences, to guide comprehensive diagnosis and management.

Dr Husain had been actively involved in teaching and working with Primary Care Trusts to develop care pathways for most chronic lung diseases, particularly COPD and chronic cough.

Dr Husain enjoys playing squash snd is a keen traveller. In his leisure moments , he loves listening to classical Indian music.
