Dr Ash Husain has been working as a Consultant Respiratory Physician in the UK since 1997.

His specialist interest is in managing chronic cough, breathing disorders and all aspects of respiratory medicine. These include conditions like asthma, lung infections, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, COPD, interstitial lung diseases (lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis), lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure, pleural disease. He also offers testing procedures such as spirometry, six-minute walk test, oxygen assessment and fibreoptic bronchoscopies.

Ash is actively involved in teaching and has been working with Primary Care Trusts to develop care pathways for most chronic lung diseases, particularly COPD and chronic cough.

He is married with 3 children and in his spare time, Ash enjoys playing cricket, squash and listening to classical music. He is also a keen traveller.
