Miss Desiree Ahkine

Miss Desiree Ah-Kine is a highly regarded Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Ophthalmologist specialising in Ophthalmology, with a particular focus on oculoplastic and orbital surgery. Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, she diagnoses and treats a wide range of eye conditions, helping patients preserve and improve their vision. Her clinical practice encompasses general adult ophthalmology, cataract assessments, and advanced surgical interventions for complex eye disorders.

With extensive expertise in oculoplastic surgery, Miss Ah-Kine provides specialised care for conditions affecting the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. Her clinical interests include complex eyelid surgeries for ptosis, eyelid cancers, trauma, and neuromuscular diseases. She is also highly skilled in managing thyroid eye disease, performing lacrimal surgeries, and administering therapeutic botulinum toxin treatments. Miss Ah-Kine qualified in medicine in 1993, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Newcastle University.
