Miss Anita Paul is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist. She has a special interest in cataract surgery, glaucoma and paediatric ophthalmology, as well as cosmetic and rejuvenation medicine. She has been awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Ophthalmology and is a Registered Specialist with the General Medical Council. She is also fully accredited by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

After qualifying in medicine from the University of Delhi in 1994, Miss Paul completed her specialist registrar training and achieved her Master's degree in Ophthalmology. Following this, she took up an academic role in a hospital in Nepal, teaching undergraduate medical students.

In 2004, Miss Paul moved to the UK and joined the UK Specialist Registrars training programme in Ophthalmology. She completed further Higher Surgical Training in Ophthalmology at Birmingham Midland Eye Centre and several other hospitals in the West Midlands. She then undertook Advanced Subspecialty training in Glaucoma at Sunderland Eye Infirmary and a Paediatric Ophthalmology and & Strabismus Fellowship at Royal Manchester Eye Hospital.

Alongside her clinical work, Miss Paul is actively involved in research. She has published papers in many peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented her work at an international level. She has also completed an MBA for Health Executives and has published a thesis on 'Shared Leadership in Healthcare'.
