Dr David McKee

Dr David McKee is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist who provides expert clinical evaluation and comprehensive care for patients presenting with a wide array of neurological conditions. Working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, Dr McKee is committed to delivering reassuring, patient-centred care. He works closely with patients and their families to ensure accurate diagnostic assessments and clear, individualised treatment strategies.

Dr McKee has developed significant expertise across general and acute neurology. His clinical interests include the investigation and management of transient loss of consciousness, such as unexplained blackouts and syncope, as well as complex central nervous system infections, including viral meningitis and encephalitis. In addition, he possesses specialised focus in evaluating rare neurodegenerative conditions, such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, alongside neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis. His diagnostic work frequently involves advanced clinical evaluations, including lumbar punctures, to deliver precise and timely diagnoses.

Dr McKee completed his undergraduate training with a Bachelor of Science with Honours, going on to earn his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery medical qualification. He was later awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
