Dr. Besa Ziso

Dr Besa Ziso is a Consultant Neurologist specialising in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and a wide range of general neurological conditions. She has particular expertise in the assessment and management of complex and treatment-resistant epilepsy and plays a key role in the assessment of patients being considered for epilepsy surgery.

Dr Ziso is the Clinical Lead for the Epilepsy Service at the The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, where she oversees the delivery of specialist, multidisciplinary epilepsy care. Alongside epilepsy, she has extensive experience across the full spectrum of neurological practice, including chronic headache and migraine, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral neuropathies.

She graduated in medicine from the University of Liverpool and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010. She has nearly 10 years’ experience as a Consultant Neurologist.

Dr Ziso is known for her clear, calm, and compassionate approach. She places strong emphasis on listening carefully to patients, providing clear explanations, and involving individuals in shared decision-making. Her aim is for patients to leave their appointment feeling informed, reassured, and confident in their management plan.
