Dr David Harkness is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare for infants, children, and young people. With extensive clinical experience across general paediatric medicine and neonatal care, he provides thorough diagnostic assessments and personalised management plans tailored to each child's unique developmental and medical needs. Dr Harkness strives to create a reassuring and supportive environment where young patients and their families feel heard, valued, and well-cared for.

Dr Harkness completed his medical foundation training in North Wales before undertaking comprehensive postgraduate training in Paediatrics across North Wales, Cheshire, and Merseyside. His versatile clinical pathway encompassed rigorous rotations in General Paediatrics, Neonatology, Community Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Neurology, and Emergency Medicine. In addition to his clinical practice as a Consultant Paediatrician, he has held designated leadership roles focused on child protection and safeguarding welfare.

Emphasising holistic, family-centred care, Dr Harkness works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, General Practitioners, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care continuity for his patients.
