He was amazing from the start of my experience to the end. Dr Akhtar explained in detail what was going to happen with my surgery, and what would happen after. Everything went exactly as he said it would. He came up to see after surgery and was very pleased with everything. Dr Akhtar Made me so at easy he made to outpatient appointments for me after I went home, but also told me I could call anytime if I was worried about anything. I have never been worried he looked after so well, I’m so happy he was my surgeon.

I had my left hip replaced by Gareth in May 2022. Gareth was excellent, explained everything and answered all of my questions. The operation went very well, I was walking on crutches in 12 hours and was off them in 2 weeks. The whole replacement was brilliant and I was back riding my bike within 6 weeks on the road, even competed in my first time trial event in 3 months

I cannot recommend Gareth enough, his surgical skills has allowed me to resume my normal fitness lifestyle and plan new races for 2023
