After receiving his Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, he undertook a two-year fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia. He is highly trained and proficient in all areas of upper limb surgery including trauma, arthroscopic wrist and shoulder procedures, microsurgery, and joint replacements (shoulder and hand). He specialises in complex trauma, minimally invasive wrist surgery, and small joint arthroplasty.

Mr Williams is actively involved in teaching and research and he is regularly invited as a faculty member on national courses. He also teaches in the QMUL Trauma Sciences MSC Programme. He is also involved in research and has had his work published in international peer-reviewed journals and specialist textbooks. Additionally, he has presented at both national and international meetings.
