My consultation with Dr Sinitsky had been arranged via my GP. However, after a questioning and thorough examination by Dr Sinitsky, he informed me that he would not be able to operate on my hernias, because, given my age (82) and medical history, there was a possibility there could be complications, and that Hendon Hospital might not have the facilities to deal with these, and that I would need to get the operation done at an NHS hospital with relevant facilities. He informed me he would be writing to my GP with this information, which, I believe, he did. I have subsequently decided to have my hernias fixed at the British Hernia Centre, which is located in St Mary's Hospital and would therefore have full facilities. I am grateful to Dr Sinitsky for his caution in this matter.
It was a very good service. I had a clear understanding of what was happening and the overall experience was excellent
I went in for an Umbilical Hernia surgery and overall the experience was good regardless of some stress as normally these things cause. The doctor was clear and explained all steps, in a way that conveyed confidence and knowhow, and that helped decrease the aforementioned stress levels.
I was greeted by friendly reception staff and seen promptly by Mr Sinitsky. He was polite and asked the questions to ascertain what diagnostics should be performed and clearly explained what the treatment options would be depending on the results of the diagnostic tests. This information was also communicated to my GP. The diagnostics have yet to be performed.
On initial consultation, Mr Sinitsky was kind, considerate and easily cut through all the fog that can surround an uncertain and/or complicated diagnosis. He gave me a very considered and easy-to-follow opinion, isolated the essentials, and set out very clear signposts on next steps to take. A huge relief.. Highly recommended.
The appointments prior to the surgery were very good, as were the pre- med assessments. Both were easily arranged and thorough. The surgery and pre * post surgical support in hospital was excellent. Areas that I would wish were different - I feel that I needed a few more hours stay in hospital before I was discharged as I was in too much pain, hardly able to get up after the surgery. I also had no idea what to expect post surgery once home - ie what the recovery would look/feel like over time; how much pain to expect, how long before the scars would heal, and that I could expect to feel the mesh if I moved. Someone should have taken the time to explain this.
Left inguinal hernia repair, re post op , would like have known how operation went
Dr Sinitsky took the time to explain my diagnosis and treatment options in clear and understandable terms Highly recommend
I'm very happy with the experience I had with Daniel. He was professional and knowledgeable during my consultations and clearly explained the diagnostic procedures, my results and follow-up options. He took the time to discuss my symptoms, listen to my concerns and was naturally very friendly and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend.
First time going independent hospital tbh first ever time getting any kind of procedure done on my body Dr Daniel Sinitsky was friendly and spoke to me in a respectful manner. Was very happy to see I got seen first as I was really just wanted to go home.
