Dr Claire Brough

Dr Claire Brough is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care. She specialises in inherited cardiovascular conditions and cardiac devices, bringing a wealth of expertise to the management of complex heart conditions. Her clinical focus encompasses heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and the implantation and management of cardiac rhythm devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. Dr Brough is committed to delivering efficient and high-quality care, ensuring that each patient receives a personalised treatment plan tailored to their unique cardiovascular needs.

Dr Brough began her medical journey at the University of Liverpool, where she graduated with an MBChB with Honours. She completed her postgraduate clinical training and general cardiology training in the United Kingdom. To further her expertise, she undertook advanced fellowships in inherited cardiovascular conditions, cardiac devices, and clinical research. Dr Brough has also earned prestigious postgraduate research degrees, including a Doctor of Medicine (MD Res) from Imperial College London and a Master of Science (MSc) in Sports Cardiology from City St George's University of London.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Brough is deeply involved in medical education, leadership, and research. She serves as the Associate Medical Director for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. She is also an Academic Advisor for the University of Manchester medical school and an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medical Director.
