Dr. Christopher Primus

Dr. Christopher Primus is a Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in the comprehensive diagnosis, investigation, and management of all forms of heart disease. He possesses extensive expertise in evaluating patients presenting with symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, and breathlessness. Dr. Primus offers rapid clinical assessments and individualised care plans ranging from lifestyle interventions and evidence-based medical therapy to advanced interventional procedures, ensuring each patient receives safe, person-centred care.

With advanced post-graduate training in all forms of cardiac imaging, Dr. Primus maintains a dedicated clinical focus on heart failure, including heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. His expertise also encompasses heart muscle conditions, such as cardiomyopathy, and valve disease resulting from cardiac infections like infective endocarditis. Dr. Primus earned a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in 2006 and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Distinction in Clinical Practice upon qualifying in 2008 from Imperial College London. He completed his post-graduate diploma as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012 and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from the University of London in 2022. Dr. Primus is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal Society of Medicine, the British Society of Heart Failure, the British Cardiac Society, and the British Society of Pharmacology.
