Dr. Saba graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, as well as an MSc. He was then appointed lecturer at Cairo University Hospitals in 1999. In 2002, he completed an internship at SUNY-New York before completing his residency in internal medicine at The George Washington University. After a 3-year fellowship in cardiology, followed by another fellowship focused on cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Saba was appointed assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine in 2006. Since 2010 he has been working as a consultant cardiac electrophysiologist at St George's Hospital London where his research focuses on improving ventricular arrhythmia mapping and ablation strategies; he even holds a patent for locating the site of origin for these types of arrhythmias. Dr Sabas' expertise extends to both medical and ablative therapies for treating both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as having experience with implanting cardio rhythm devices. He is internationally recognized within this field and often acts as the faculty member for major conferences on this topic and is co-Director of the European Heart Rhythm Association Ventricular Tachycardia Course. On top of his work directing this course, he is also the founding chairman of the London Ventricular Tachyarrhythmia Symposium and Director of AVATAR (Advanced Ventricular Arrhythmia Training & Research) program established to help train employees on how better to act around/deal with patients who have undergone treatment relating to various forms of cardiac dysrhythmias.

Dr Magdi Saba consistently provides excellent patient care and reassuring communication, fostering confidence. He clearly explains complex medical procedures such as pacemaker checks and cardiac surgery, helping patients understand their condition and treatment path. Patients value his thorough approach, noting he listens to concerns and gives detailed answers to all questions. His expertise covers arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular fibrillation, and cardiomyopathy.
My initial meeting with Dr Saba was not what I expected. For the first time since my cardiac arrest I was talking to someone who understood my drive to get better and to be fit again. He listened intently to my version of what had happened to me. He took the trouble to talk me through the medical data to explain what had happened at the time of my cardiac arrest and since. There was little medical jargon, instead Dr Saba used logic, hand-drawn graphics, and simple analogies to explain how my heart was functioning. I have every confident that this World Class team can correct the problem with my heart and I'll be back to my old self very soon.
A good, positive visit, felt completely at ease. Very professional and supportive.
Dr Saba always takes time to listen and gives great advice. Now that I have been discharged I am going to miss our visits.
Excellent explanations of symptoms, procedures and plan of action. I would highly recommend this professional.
Always a pleasure to see Prof Saba, full of enthusiasm.
Courteous and extremely good bedside manner. Dr Saba eased my anxiety and listened to my concerns. He explained in detail without bombarding me with 'Doctor speak' the procedures I would need. Made me feel at ease and I that there was a path of action for my condition. Thank you Dr Saba!
