Dr Christopher Orton

Dr. Christopher Orton is a highly skilled Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with a focus on the management of airways diseases, lung cancer, and interventional bronchoscopy. He earned his MBBS and a BSc in Biochemistry and Immunology from St George’s Hospital Medical School. Following that, Dr. Orton completed his general medical and respiratory specialty training in London, gaining valuable experience at prestigious teaching hospitals such as Hammersmith Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, St George’s Hospital, and the Royal Brompton Hospital.

Dr. Orton also holds a PhD from Imperial College London, where his research focused on the effects of epithelial resurfacing with liquid nitrogen using Metered Cryospray in patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

His current NHS base is at the Royal Brompton Hospital, a specialised heart and lung hospital, where he is a member of the lung cancer and interventional bronchoscopy unit.

Dr. Orton remains actively engaged in clinical research, with ongoing studies, supervision of PhD students, and publication of research papers in high-impact medical journals.

His clinical expertise covers various aspects of respiratory medicine, including but not limited to:
