Dr Christopher Orton

Dr Christopher Orton graduated from St George’s Hospital
Medical School, and received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
(MBBS) in 2010. He carries out his NHS work at the Royal Brompton Hospital specialising
in airways disease, pulmonary nodules and advanced bronchoscopic techniques,
including robotic navigation bronchoscopy.

Dr Orton completed his specialist training in respiratory and
general medicine at prestigious London teaching hospitals, including
Hammersmith Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, and the Royal Brompton. He completed
his PhD on epithelial remodelling with liquid nitrogen in patients with
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) at Imperial College London.

Dr Orton is experienced in all aspects of respiratory
medicine, and sees patients with a wide range of respiratory symptoms including
shortness of breath, cough, chest infection and incidental findings such
as pulmonary nodules. He is a renowned proceduralist, and regularly trains new
users and lectures internationally on robotic navigation bronchoscopy, and advanced
interventional techniques.

Dr Orton is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and
an Associate Professor at Imperial College London, supervising multiple
PhD students, and publishing in high-impact medical journals.
