Dr Christine Fox

Dr Christine Fox is a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist specialising in the comprehensive diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Fox focuses on delivering tailored, evidence-based care to improve long-term outcomes and quality of life for individuals living with chronic rheumatic disorders. She assesses and manages a broad range of inflammatory conditions affecting the joints, connective tissues, and immune system.

In her clinical practice, Dr Fox has particular expertise in vasculitis and giant cell arteritis (temporal arteritis), alongside a dedicated focus on bone health and inflammatory joint diseases. She utilises diagnostic tools such as musculoskeletal ultrasound to allow for precise evaluation and monitoring of tissue and joint inflammation. Additionally, Dr Fox takes a special interest in supporting adolescent and young adult patients as they navigate the transition from paediatric to adult rheumatology services, ensuring continuity of care and compassionate guidance.

Dr Fox completed her primary medical degree at Birmingham University and undertook her early medical training in the West Midlands before continuing her clinical career on the South Coast. Demonstrating a broad commitment to medical expertise and clinical instruction, she has also earned a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases as well as a post-graduate qualification in Medical Education.
