Dr Charlotte Skinner is a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist and Consultant Hepatologist who provides expert, empathetic care for patients experiencing digestive and liver conditions. Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, with a primary focus on liver health, early disease detection, and the management of chronic liver conditions. Dr Skinner is committed to delivering reassuring, patient-centred care, ensuring that every individual receives a clear, structured diagnostic and treatment pathway.

Dr Skinner completed her medical training in the United Kingdom, achieving her medical qualification before undergoing higher specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK). Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Skinner has engaged in academic research investigating the gut-liver axis, gut microbiota, and mechanisms of alcohol-related liver disease, contributing valuable research insights to international medical forums.

In her day-to-day clinical practice, Dr Skinner evaluates and manages conditions such as alcohol-related liver disease, chronic viral hepatitis, metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease, liver cirrhosis, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. She utilises diagnostic endoscopy, non-invasive transient elastography for liver assessment, and therapeutic procedures including paracentesis.
