Dr Charlotte Goodhead

Dr Charlotte Goodhead is a highly dedicated Consultant Dermatologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions. With broad expertise in managing both adult and paediatric skin health, she delivers patient-centred care tailored to individual clinical needs. Dr Goodhead oversees the assessment and management of complex skin concerns, ensuring that patients receive clear, evidence-based guidance and reassuring support throughout their care journey.

Dr Goodhead qualified in medicine from Newcastle University in 2007 and subsequently completed her postgraduate specialist training in Dermatology in the North East of England. She joined the General Medical Council Specialist Register as a Consultant Dermatologist in 2018. Demonstrating a commitment to clinical excellence and service development, she was appointed as Clinical Lead for Dermatology in 2022, driving departmental initiatives in digital skin cancer assessment, clinical governance, and patient care standards.

Her clinical practice spans general adult dermatology, paediatric dermatology, and skin cancer diagnosis and management. Dr Goodhead has particular expertise in managing chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne, alongside skin lesions, basal cell carcinoma, and rare conditions including epidermolysis bullosa. Working alongside multidisciplinary allergy and rheumatology teams, she provides integrated care for complex paediatric cases while actively participating in clinical research, medical education, and quality improvement projects.
