Dr Catherine Lissett

Dr Catherine Lissett is a dedicated Consultant specialising in Endocrinology & Diabetes. With extensive clinical experience in managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions, she provides reassuring, comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs. Her practice encompasses the diagnosis and management of a wide range of endocrine disorders, alongside specialist care for adults living with diabetes.

Dr Lissett completed her medical degree at the University of Sheffield in 1993. Following her initial clinical training, she pursued advanced research in Manchester, earning a research Doctorate. She subsequently completed specialist registrar training in Diabetes and Endocrinology, while also gaining a postgraduate qualification in Medical Education from Cardiff University. Throughout her career, Dr Lissett has maintained a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical leadership, and continuous education.

In her day-to-day practice, Dr Lissett focuses on delivering evidence-based management for patients with endocrine conditions, including thyroid disease, pituitary disorders, adrenal dysfunction, and hyponatraemia. She maintains a strong clinical interest in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes management, hypoglycaemia prevention, diabetic complications, and advanced diabetes technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring. Dr Lissett is passionate about a compassionate, patient-centred approach that empowers individuals to manage long-term conditions effectively.
