Dr Catherine Cashell

Dr Catherine Cashell is a dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Specialist who provides expert care for patients suffering from a wide array of painful conditions. She takes a compassionate and individualised approach to patient care, ensuring that each treatment strategy is thoroughly aligned with the specific needs and goals of the individual. Her practice encompasses both perioperative anaesthetic management and comprehensive chronic pain relief strategies.

Clinically, Dr Cashell focuses on evaluating and treating complex acute and persistent pain issues. Her primary areas of expertise include cervical and lumbar spinal disorders, lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and cancer-related pain. To help restore mobility and improve quality of life, she offers an extensive range of targeted interventional treatments, including joint injections, epidural procedures, medial branch blocks, and radiofrequency denervation.

Dr Cashell earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Physiology in 2009 and completed her medical degree (MBBS) at King's College London in 2011. Following her primary medical education, she undertook postgraduate specialist training in anaesthetics and advanced pain medicine. She attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 2017 and Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA) in 2021. She maintains professional affiliations with the British Medical Association and the Faculty of Pain Medicine.
