Dr Callum Duncan

Dr Callum Duncan is a dedicated Consultant Neurologist specialising in the diagnosis, management, and care of patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Taking a patient-centred and holistic approach to healthcare, Dr Duncan is committed to offering clear communication, thoughtful consultations, and high-quality clinical guidance. His practise focuses on empowering patients through comprehensive evaluations, evidence-based treatment plans, and ongoing support for complex disorders of the nervous system.

Dr Duncan completed his medical training at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1999, during which he also earned an intercalated Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He subsequently undertook postgraduate training in General Medicine and completed higher specialist training in Neurology across major teaching centres in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. He also completed dedicated sub-specialist training in headache management in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London. Dr Duncan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and has actively contributed to national clinical guidance and professional organisations, including holding council and administrative roles within the British Association for the Study of Headache.

In his ongoing clinical work, Dr Duncan maintains a focus on headache and migraine care, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), and neurodegenerative conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND). He actively participates in clinical trials aimed at evaluating innovative treatments and sits on national guideline development panels to improve standards of care. In addition, Dr Duncan is involved in tele-neurology initiatives, using remote consultation technologies to ensure patients in distant or rural areas receive accessible and timely neurological care.
