Dr Bimal Mehta

Dr Bimal Mehta is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician specialising in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and acute childhood care. Dedicated to providing urgent and reassuring medical care to infants, children, and young people, he works within major trauma settings to deliver compassionate, high-quality clinical support. His clinical practice focuses on ensuring that young patients facing acute illnesses or sudden injuries receive prompt, thorough, and patient-focused emergency treatment.

With deep expertise in emergency medical care for children, Dr Mehta possesses advanced skills in major paediatric trauma management, resuscitation, urgent care delivery, and major incident triage. Beyond his direct clinical duties, he has held key leadership positions, serving as a Clinical Director for Urgent Care and Co-Clinical Lead for regional major trauma networks. He regularly contributes to refining emergency pathways and clinical guidance to raise the standard of care for ill and injured children across healthcare services.

Dr Mehta completed extensive specialist medical training focused on emergency paediatrics and acute child health. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM). Deeply committed to medical education and clinical standards, Dr Mehta serves as Chair of the Advanced Paediatric Life Support working group and contributes to national intercollegiate committees dedicated to establishing high-quality healthcare standards for young patients.
