Mrs Bianca Parau

Mrs Biana Parau is a registered dietitian based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. She has 17 years of experience and specialises in infant, child and adolescent nutrition. Her special interest is in prenatal nutrition and her sub-specialties are infant and toddler nutrition, paediatric gastroenterology, paediatric allergy, childhood obesity and ketogenic diets.

Mrs Parau is passionate about helping children to develop a healthy relationship with food in order that they can meet their nutritional requirements and support their growth and development. She is able to provide expert advice to children and their families in a friendly manner.

Mrs Parau gained her bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) from the University of the Free State in South Africa. She has since worked in the UK at a variety of NHS hospitals and private health centres. She also undertakes consultancy work and is a spokesperson for BUPA on nutrition related topics. She also writes peer reviews and articles for a number of publications.

At Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Mrs Parau holds a bimonthly specialty feeding clinic for children with eating problems caused often by a history of gastrointestinal problems and food allergies.
