Mr Benjamin Knight

Mr Knight is a highly experienced consultant upper gastrointestinal surgeon. He specialises in all aspects of minimally invasive surgery, including robotci surgery. He is trained in the DaVinci X and Xi robotic surgery systems and has been using the platform for over 5 years. He performs a high volume of procedures annually, the majority of which are day cases or require a one-night stay in hospital. He has specialist interest in gallbladder surgery including bile duct exploration, reflux disease, hernia surgery and adrenal surgery. He is JAG accredited for upper GI endoscopy.

Mr Knight is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Obesity Society and the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons. He has held various clinical roles in the NHS, including Royal College surgical tutor and lead for Oesophago-gastric cancer. He has also been involved in implementing new NHS services, including bariatric tendering contracts.
