About Mr Ioannis Prionidis
Mr Ioannis Prionidis is a consultant vascular surgeon at Mid and South Essex Hospitals, Phoenix Hospital, and Springfield Hospital.
Mr Prionidis has extensive experience in vascular and general surgery, having completed training programmes in the UK and Greece. His MD degree was gained from the University of Thrace in 1992, following the completion of his MBBS from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1989. He also undertook a fellowship at the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
In addition to his medical training, Mr Prionidis holds a PhD in Intermittent Pneumatic Compression and Venous Hemodynamics of the Lower Limb. His research in this area and others has been extensively published.
Furthermore, he is a founding member of the International Compression Club's working group on intermittent pneumatic compression for the treatment of venous and other diseases.
He speaks both English and Greek.
