Dr. Arun Dhanasekaran

Dr Arun Dhanasekaran is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with specialist expertise in interventional cardiology. He practices within the NHS at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro and also sees private patients at Ramsay Duchy Hospital, Truro.

Dr Dhanasekaran completed his medical degree (MB BS) at Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in 1998 before undertaking advanced training in the UK, where he achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and later Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians.

His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of general cardiology, with particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of chest pain, angina, palpitations, arrhythmia, heart valve disease, and heart failure. As an interventional cardiologist, he regularly performs procedures such as angiography, coronary angiograms, angioplasty, and stenting, providing patients with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options.

Dr Dhanasekaran is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS). His approach combines specialist clinical knowledge with a patient-focused ethos, ensuring personalised care for individuals with both routine and complex cardiac conditions.
