A friendly welcome, very short wait time although I was slightly early. A bit suprised that the ECG was so quick- a minute or two at the most- seemed a bit expensive for the amount of time! The consultation was good and adice given. Overall very happy with my visit to Peninsula Heart.

Top Rated, can't fault the practice

I first met Dr Haywood 27 years ago and since that time have attended numerous consultations for an ongoing heart condition. On this occasion my wife, who has recently experienced cardiac issues, joined us. Having this continuity is invaluable. His knowledge is unquestionable but what is particularly important is the way manner he patiently and understandingly explains queries and symptoms to patients. Long may he continue to practise.

I saw Mr Haywood within days of my initial enquiry and he discussed the options to rectify my atrial flutter. A really friendly man who put me at ease. I elected to have cardio ablation using the most up to date method. My operation was booked in for two weeks later as opposed to the 60 week NHS waiting time. On the day of my procedure everyone I met was really professional and friendly. Mr Haywood and his team have gone beyond my expectations. I cannot recommend his services strongly enough. Thankyou everyone at Peninsula.

Excellent. Dr Hayward has previously dealt with my heart condition in a very kind & efficient way. I have a pacemaker & he reassured me that my condition had not deteriorated. However he is arranging a further test to clarify the situation.

The care I had was good. The wait before the op was long and the room rather cold but I was given more blankets. The long wait allowed me to get pretty nervous. Once taken in to the operating/preparation area it all became more interesting. I have no idea when I actually became unconscious. When I came round, I was embarrassed by the fact that I had become incontinent. My removal to Derriford main hospital was OK but I went from one mixed ward to a ward on my own. I hardly slept at all. I had to wait to be 'signed out' in the morning and I assumed I would not be going home at 7:00am. During my wait I was very pleased to receive a call from Dr Haywood who told me everything I wanted to know. I am also pleased to have received a comprehensive account of the op before leaving the hospital. I had to wait to be signed out until mid afternoon, possibly due to the doctors strike but it fitted in quite well with my lift home. It was a good experience generally although there was a lot of waiting about which I am sure is unavoidable.

From my very first telephone conversation with Tracy, I felt completely at ease. The whole process was smooth and reassuring, and I was quickly offered a consultation with Dr. Haywood. Every member of the team came across as highly knowledgeable and skilled, but what stood out most was their genuine warmth, kindness, and care, which made the entire experience feel so supportive and comforting.
