I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience in trauma and orthopaedics. I specialise in primary lower limb arthroplasty, including hip and knee replacements. My medical education began at Imperial College School of Medicine in London, one of the UK's leading medical institutions, where I developed a solid foundation in orthopaedics. Following my general training, I completed two internationally recognised fellowships in hip and knee surgery, further honing my expertise in these areas. I am currently a practising consultant at Northwick Park Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital in London.
In my clinical practice, I focus primarily on hip and knee replacements, including complex cases of primary lower limb arthroplasty. I also perform a range of arthroscopic procedures, such as meniscal debridement and repairs, as well as managing various lower limb trauma cases. My approach to patient care is compassionate and individualised, ensuring that each patient receives the education and information they need to make informed decisions about their treatment. Whether through surgery or conservative management, I believe in offering the best possible care tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
I am a registered member of the General Medical Council (GMC) in good standing, having been qualified for almost two decades without any investigations or issues. As part of my commitment to advancing the field of orthopaedics, I also serve as a lecturer in orthopaedics at Brunel Medical School and act as a clinical and educational supervisor at my NHS Trust, where I train the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
My practice is underpinned by a commitment to providing the highest standards of care. I prioritise patient education and open communication, ensuring that every patient understands the options available to them. Whether recommending surgery or alternative treatments, I work collaboratively with my patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Service that was offered has been exceptional. Over the moon with surgery. Pain free. Perfect result. Was able to walk well again within a few days. Can now walk up the stairs normally rather than limping. Thank you for the skills. Outstanding.
Well done. Quite pleased with my overall experience of my operation with you. Expert and confident.
Mr Baskaradas you can trust explicitly to ensure your surgery is going to be as efficient as you could wish for. I didn’t lose as much blood. Compassionate and listens. He cares about our lives.
Bucket handle meniscal tear - surgery done well. Happy with advice and result of surgery. You gave me the right information and understood my background. Happy thank you.
Outcome is amazing. Pain is gone, movement is fine. I am much happier. The benefits definitely outweigh the initial pain and recovery. It’s much better than the chronic pain I had. All of that has gone and I am no longer suffering. It’s well worth it for the outcome. I am really happy.
My operation was fine and after-care was very good very good Physio
My operation went well , everything and the surgeon was excellent
My appointment was a post surgery evaluation and I was overwhelmed by the care and attention shown to me. My surgery went well and I am grateful for the time and skill demonstrated by the surgeon and his aftercare advice. All my questions were answered and I left in good spirits. He gave me a new lease of life.
Mr. Baskaradas is a true professional in every way, he very quickly identified my knee problem which I struggled with for several years and offered me a total knee replacement. He was clear and concise what the operation entailed, I felt at ease and went ahead with the operation. My operation went well and also my follow up appointment with Mr Baskaradas to whom I am very grateful and so pleased with my new knee and the increased mobility it has given me.
Aroon and I have worked together for years. Beyond his considerable surgical skills I am very grateful for his calm and pragmatic approach to issues. His reputation for supporting colleagues' welfare is also unmatched.
