About Mr Arif Razak
Mr Razak is a fellowship trained Consultant Hip and Knee surgeon. He specialises in a wide range of orthopaedic procedures and treatments including but not limited to joint replacement, knee arthroscopy, trauma surgery and injections. His main specialist interests are hip and knee replacement surgery.
He earned his medical degree (MBChB) with honours from the University of Manchester followed by surgical training in the North West. He then completed a fellowship in primary and revision hip replacements in Norwich before being appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Fairfield General Hospital (Bury) and North Manchester General Hospital in 2018.
Mr Razak is a surgical trainer and has roles as educational and clinical supervisor for orthopaedic doctors. He has published papers and presented in national and international meetings. He is a member of British Hip Society

On first seeing Mr Arif Razak he made me feel at ease, he explained what the operation would entail, I have been to see him today in clinic after 7 weeks and I can honestly say he was the same again, explaining what he did in the operation and explaining things to me about the discomfort I’m experiencing, it’s all due to recovery, would highly recommend Mr Arif Razak to anyone wanting a total knee replacement.
Mr Rozok is an extremely pleasant person,From first meeting him I felt completely at ease.
I had a full hip replacement carried out by Mr Razaq a couple of months ago as a self-paid patient. I was very concerned about the operation, but I feel it was a great success as I am now without pain and almost fully mobile. As I need to have a full hip replacement of my other hip and I feel so confident about Mr Razaq's ability, I have decided that I would like Mr Razaq to carry out this one also. My second hip replacement is going to be done on NHS and I am making every effort possible to ensure that I will be Mr Razaq's patient again.
Mr Razak, I cannot speak highly enough of the care and treatment l have received over the years. 2023 Mr Razak replaced my right hip, which has been fantastic. On 2nd July 2026 Mr Razak replaced my left hip. I had been in a lot of pain, made it almost impossible for me to anything and now with the new hip the pain has gone. I would recommend Mr Razak to other patients.
To see MrArif Razakso he could see how I was getting on and to give me the all clear . I am so very happy thank you so very much ….

Cannot fault the care I received from Mr s Razak and the Highfield hospital.
