Anja Jensen

Anja Jensen is a Senior Physiotherapist with specialist expertise in spinal injuries and post-surgical spinal rehabilitation. She graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Coventry University in 2016 and has since developed extensive experience in managing complex spinal conditions. Anja currently works as a Senior Spinal Physiotherapist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where she provides high-quality, evidence-based care for patients recovering from spinal cord injuries (SCIs) and a wide range of spinal surgeries.

Her approach combines clinical expertise with a patient-centred focus, helping individuals regain function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life following spinal trauma or surgery. She is committed to delivering rehabilitation that is tailored to each patient’s needs, ensuring safe and effective recovery.

In addition to her clinical work, Anja is currently an Improvement Fellow at the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. In this role, she applies her skills to service development and quality improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance patient care pathways and outcomes across the region.

Anja is known for her compassionate and proactive approach, supporting patients through challenging rehabilitation journeys while empowering them to actively participate in their recovery.
