Dr Angus Macleod is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist who provides expert care across a broad range of neurological conditions. With extensive clinical expertise in assessing and managing disorders affecting the brain and nervous system, he offers a comprehensive approach tailored to individual patient needs. His clinical practice encompasses general neurology as well as specialised care for movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, tremor, and other involuntary movement conditions.
In addition to his focus on movement disorders, Dr Macleod manages a wide array of complex neurological presentations. His clinical interests include headache and migraine, epilepsy, loss of consciousness, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, peripheral neuropathies, and functional neurological disorders. Dr Macleod graduated with honours in Medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 2006, having previously achieved a First-Class intercalated BSc in Medical Sciences. He completed his post-graduate training in neurology and gained his Member of the Royal College of Physicians qualification in 2009. Furthering his academic training, he earned a Master of Science with distinction in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, followed by a PhD in Neurology. Alongside his clinical duties, he serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, actively contributing to clinical research and medical education. He maintains professional membership with the Royal College of Physicians.
