Dr Andrew Proctor

Dr Andrew Proctor is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of adult cancers, with focused clinical expertise in breast and gynaecological malignancies. Recognised for his patient-centred approach, Dr Proctor combines compassionate care with high standards of evidence-based medicine. In addition to managing complex cancer diagnoses, he plays an influential leadership role in acute oncology services, ensuring patients receive rapid assessment and coordinated care during acute medical episodes related to their illness or systemic treatments.

Dr Proctor earned his medical degree from Nottingham University Medical School in 1997. He subsequently undertook specialist higher clinical training in Medical Oncology across New Zealand and Yorkshire, gaining comprehensive experience in advanced systemic therapies. In 2009, he was awarded a Doctor of Medicine research degree from the University of Leeds. Dedicated to advancing oncology standards regionally and nationally, Dr Proctor is an active member of the UK Breast Cancer Group and serves as Chairperson for the Yorkshire Breast Cancer Tri-Network Oncology Group. He also holds an academic appointment as an Honorary Lecturer, contributing to the education and mentorship of future healthcare professionals.
