Dr Andrew Grech

Dr Andrew Grech is a dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist who provides high-quality peri-operative care for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures. With an empathetic and reassuring approach, Dr Grech works closely with patients to ensure their comfort, safety, and peace of mind before, during, and after surgery.

In his clinical practice, Dr Grech provides expert care in general Anaesthetics, advanced regional anaesthesia, and total intravenous anaesthesia. He possesses a strong clinical focus on paediatric anaesthesia, peri-operative psychology in children, and critical care transfer medicine. Dr Grech is committed to utilising evidence-based techniques to optimise patient recovery and enhance overall peri-operative outcomes.

Dr Grech completed his specialist training in Anaesthesiology in 2020, subsequently completing advanced sub-specialty fellowships in paediatric anaesthesia and paediatric critical care transfer medicine. He holds a Master of Science focusing on critical illness recovery as well as a Master of Medical Education. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Dr Grech serves as an Examiner for the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and maintains active memberships with the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology, and the Association of Anaesthetists.

As a passionate Medical Educator, Dr Grech regularly instructs healthcare professionals on advanced life support courses. He prioritises clear communication with patients and their families, taking the time to explain procedures thoroughly and alleviate any anxiety prior to surgical interventions.
