Dr Gennery completed clinical training in Newcastle and London, followed by advanced post-doctoral research in Paris focusing on genetic mechanisms of immune function. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). Additionally, he maintains active professional memberships in the European Society for Immunodeficiencies, the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, the British Society for Immunology, and the British Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases Group.

Specialising in Paediatric Immunology and Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, Dr Gennery possesses deep clinical expertise in primary immunodeficiency diseases, including Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, Chronic Granulomatous Disease, DiGeorge syndrome, and DNA repair disorders. His clinical work encompasses bone marrow transplantation, T cell depletion techniques, and the management of post-transplant immune reconstitution. He has also been instrumental in implementing advanced therapeutic options, such as extracorporeal photopheresis for children experiencing graft versus host disease.

Through his thorough clinical approach and reassuring bedside manner, Dr Gennery remains committed to improving long-term outcomes and quality of life for young patients with severe immunological conditions.
