Dr Anand Sharma

Dr. Anand Sharma is a highly skilled medical oncologist specialising in the treatment of urological cancers, including kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer. At Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, he leads the germ cell cancer group, focusing on the management of ovarian and testicular cancers.

With a wealth of experience as a principal investigator in renal, prostate, and bladder cancer clinical trials, Dr. Sharma is at the forefront of advancing treatment options for these malignancies. He has a particular interest in immunotherapy and targeted therapy for urological cancers, striving to provide patients with the most effective and personalised treatment approaches.

Dr. Sharma's contributions to the field of oncology are extensive, with over 50 publications in peer-reviewed international cancer journals. He has also played a pivotal role in the consultant medical oncologist team since 2017, leading the testicular and ovarian germ cell cancer services at the East and North Herts NHS trust.
