Dr Amy Stone

Dr Amy Stone is an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist who offers comprehensive visual and ophthalmic care. With a dedicated focus on medical retina, she manages a broad range of general eye conditions alongside complex retinal disorders. Dr Stone is committed to delivering clear clinical guidance and thoughtful, patient-centred care to support individuals throughout their diagnosis and management.

Her primary areas of clinical expertise encompass conditions affecting the posterior segment of the eye, particularly age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. Dr Stone performs detailed diagnostic evaluations and provides evidence-based therapies, including specialised retinal laser therapy and targeted medical interventions. Working in close partnership with clinical teams, she aims to safeguard visual health and optimise patient outcomes.

Dr Stone completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Manchester in 1994. She subsequently undertook postgraduate specialist training in ophthalmology within major clinical training programmes in Liverpool and Manchester. To further consolidate her expertise in conditions affecting the retina, she completed an advanced sub-specialty fellowship in medical retina in Oxford.
