Dr Allison Ward

Dr Allison Ward is a dedicated Consultant Community Paediatrician who provides compassionate, comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. Specialising in General Paediatrics and Community Child Health, Dr Ward focuses on supporting the health, development, and general well-being of young patients across a broad range of paediatric conditions. Her clinical focus includes holistic health assessments and the management of complex medical and social needs in childhood.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Ward holds key leadership roles dedicated to child protection and the welfare of vulnerable populations. Serving as a Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children and Looked After Children, she plays an active role in establishing robust child protection frameworks and coordinated care pathways. She is also a Founder and Clinical Lead for integrated health services designed to address the physical, emotional, and social health needs of refugee and asylum-seeking children and families.

Dr Ward completed her foundational medical education with honours, obtaining a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci Hons) in 2001 and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS Hons) in 2003. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2006, subsequently completing her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Paediatrics with Community Child Health in 2015. Alongside her clinical practice, she contributes to academic research focused on paediatric safeguarding and advancing health outcomes for marginalised young people.
