Ms Aimee Newton

Aimee Newton is an accomplished Registered Dietitian at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital. Her extensive knowledge and unwavering dedication to patient-centric care have established her as a prominent figure in the healthcare field.

Aimee's journey commenced with her attainment of a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2007, solidifying her credentials as a skilled dietitian. Specialising in bariatrics, surgery, and gastroenterology in 2009, she honed her expertise in these critical areas. Since 2011, Aimee has served as the dietetic lead for bariatric surgery and surgery at York Hospital, illustrating her deep commitment to enhancing patient outcomes.

Complementing her nutritional proficiency, Aimee holds a BSc Hons in Sport Science, allowing her to provide holistic care that combines nutritional insights with sports-related perspectives. A key contributor to the bariatric teams at York and Spire Hospital Hull, she guides patients throughout their weight loss journey, demonstrating her pivotal role in their success.

Aimee's expertise spans a wide spectrum, including gastroenterology (covering irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, and more), liver disease, nutrition support, upper GI cancer, weight management, and sports nutrition. She also excels as a qualified fertility dietitian, helping individuals optimise their diets for fertility enhancement.
