Dr Adrian Proffitt

Dr Adrian Proffitt is a dedicated Consultant specialising in General (Internal) Medicine, Acute Internal Medicine, and Intensive Care Medicine. With a comprehensive background in managing complex acute medical conditions and critically ill individuals, Dr Proffitt provides thorough, patient-centred care. His clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and managing acute adult illnesses, coordinating multidisciplinary treatment plans, and maintaining high standards of clinical governance. As an experienced Physician, he is committed to delivering compassionate care tailored to each patient's individual needs.

Dr Proffitt earned his medical degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., Ch.B.), from the University of Manchester in 2004. Demonstrating a strong interest in medical ethics and legal standards, he subsequently completed a Master of Arts in Health Care Ethics and Law, followed by a Master of Philosophy in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence at the University of Manchester. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2012, passed the Specialty Certificate Examination in Acute Internal Medicine in 2015, and was awarded a Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) in 2018.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Proffitt is actively involved in medical education, clinical supervision, and bioethical guidance.
