Dr. Adele Cowper

Adele graduated in 2005 and trained in general paediatrics in London, then subsequently completed formal sub-speciality training in paediatric emergency medicine. Adele has worked in several leading hospitals such as the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, the Royal London Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and continues to work as a paediatric consultant in the NHS alongside her role here at Kidswell.

She is passionate about supporting and empowering parents and families to manage their child’s health. She strongly believes parents know their child best, and intentionally seeks to work in partnership with families at every stage of their child’s health journey.

Aside from her expertise in paediatric emergency medicine, Adele has a particular interest in supporting parents through the first year of their child’s life, and has done additional training in supporting breastfeeding mothers- she uses this in a voluntary capacity as a breastfeeding peer supporter, as well as integrating this within her paediatric medical work where appropriate. As well as her UK work, Adele has spent several years working overseas, predominantly in resource limited settings with charities and humanitarian organisations. Adele lives in East London with her husband and 2 school aged children, who she delights in exploring the world with.
